President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida held talks on the sidelines of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit Wednesday to discuss North Korea and bilateral issues.Yoon and Kishida were in Washington to attend the NATO summit as leaders of the four Indo-Pacific partner nations, which also include Australia and New Zealand.The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, as well as trilateral cooperation with the United States, to deter North Korea's growing military threat following its signing of a mutual defense treaty with Russia last month, according to Seoul officials.Yoon and Kishida last met in Seoul in May as part of a trilateral summit with China.Source: Yonhap News Agency
