Dubai: Hsieh Su-wei is one win away from her first title of 2025 after she and Jelena Ostapenko secured a spot in the women’s doubles final at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Friday.

According to Focus Taiwan, the third-seeded Taiwan-Latvia duo defeated China’s Xu Yifan and Yang Zhaoxuan 6-4, 4-6, 10-2 in 95 minutes. The victory propels them into the final match of the WTA 1000 tournament.

Hsieh and Ostapenko will face Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and Taylor Townsend of the United States in the final. This encounter will be a rematch of their Australian Open final in late January, where Hsieh and Ostapenko were defeated 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-3, preventing Hsieh from defending her title in Melbourne.

According to the draw, the final is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. (Taiwan time) on Saturday.
