Taiwan Partners with Czechia and Poland for Drone Production

Taipei: Drone companies in Taiwan have entered into significant agreements with the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber (CTBC) and Polish company Farada Group Ltd., as revealed by the Aerospace Industrial Development Corp. (AIDC) in a Facebook post on Saturday. This strategic collaboration aims to advance drone industry development in Taiwan, Czechia, and Poland.

According to Focus Taiwan, the Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunities Alliance (Tediboa), spearheaded by Coretronic Intelligent Robotics Corp. (CIRC), led the initiative in forming these international partnerships. On Thursday, Andy Sin, CIRC president and representative of Tediboa, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the CTBC, focusing on promoting the drone industry in Taiwan and the Czech Republic.

The following day, the alliance strengthened its European ties by visiting Poland, where Taiwan’s Ahamani Advanced and Polish drone company Farada agreed to collaborate on drone production and the development of key components. This partnership also aims to enhance access to the European market.

The agreements were complemented by business-to-business discussions. Czechia extended invitations to 19 Taiwanese companies, while Poland hosted 40 representatives from Taiwanese government agencies and businesses. AIDC Chairman Hu Kai-hung, also the leader of Tediboa, highlighted the Taiwanese team’s proficiency showcased at the Xponential Europe trade fair in Dusseldorf, Germany, from February 18-20, which garnered significant attention from European countries.

Additionally, the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Industry and Commerce has been actively engaging with Taiwan, having visited seven times in the past two years. They signed an MOU with the alliance on drone industry cooperation in November 2024. The alliance plans to further expand its international presence by visiting trade fairs and exhibitions in Japan and the United States later this year.
