Taipei:Scattered brief showers are anticipated in Greater Taipei and the eastern half of Taiwan on Saturday, while other regions will experience partly cloudy to sunny skies.According to Focus Taiwan, the Central Weather Administration (CWA) has indicated that due to seasonal northeasterly winds, mountainous areas of Yilan County might experience localized heavy or extremely heavy rain during the day. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of potential lightning, strong gusts, and landslides.Independent weather expert Wu Der-rong noted that brief showers could continue intermittently in northern and eastern Taiwan through Sunday. He also mentioned a slight dip in temperatures in these regions on Saturday, while central and southern Taiwan will remain warm during the day, with cooler temperatures in the morning and evening.Daytime temperatures are projected to range from 23-30 degrees Celsius in the north, 23-35 degrees in central Taiwan, and 22-35 degrees in the south. Wu also predicted tha t seasonal northeasterly winds are expected to strengthen on Monday and Tuesday, bringing cooler weather and rain to the northern parts of the country.From Wednesday to Friday, the weather is forecast to be generally stable, with partly cloudy skies and occasional light rain in some areas.
