Taipei: Visiting Saint Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Terrance Drew pledged to continue advocating for Taiwan's meaningful participation in international organizations, during a meeting with President Lai Ching-te on Friday.

According to Focus Taiwan, at the Presidential Office in Taipei, Drew emphasized that Taiwan and Saint Kitts and Nevis share values such as democracy, dignity, and perseverance. He committed to supporting Taiwan's involvement in international organizations, including the World Health Organization. President Lai expressed gratitude for Drew's remarks at the United Nations General Assembly, where Drew urged the international community to support Taiwan's engagement and highlighted the importance of stability across the Taiwan Strait.

The meeting followed the arrival of the Saint Kitts and Nevis delegation led by Drew, which included Foreign Minister Denzil Douglas and Ambassador-at-large Leon Natta-Nelson. Attendees from Taiwan included Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung, Taiwan's ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis Edward Tao, and Donya L. Francis, Saint Kitts and Nevis' ambassador to Taiwan.
