Taiwan Shares Open Sharply Lower


Taipei: The Taiwan Stock Exchange’s main index began the trading session with a significant drop, falling by 1,144.65 points to reach 20,153.57. This notable decrease in the index occurred on Monday, with the turnover recorded at NT$15.37 billion, equivalent to US$462.43 million.
