Hong kong: Taiwanese sprinter Chen Yi-cen won the silver medal in the women's 400-meter final at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships in Hong Kong on Friday, with a time of 53.16 seconds.According to Focus Taiwan, Chen, aged 15, was the youngest among the eight finalists. Her performance not only secured her a silver medal but also met the qualifying standard of 53.50 seconds for the upcoming Nagoya Asian Games in September.Chen first gained attention at the National Games in Tainan in 2023 when she was just 13 years old. She won the women's 400-meter final in 55.55 seconds, becoming the youngest gold medalist in the history of the event.In another event, Chen Yi-xuan competed in the men's 110-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 13.46 seconds to earn the bronze medal.
