Taiwan’s Flash Wolves Triumph in APL 2025 Esports Championship

Bangkok: The Flash Wolves, an esports team from Taiwan, emerged victorious in the Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) championship held in Bangkok, defeating the local favorites, EArena from Thailand. The intense competition concluded with the Flash Wolves securing a 4-2 win in the best-of-seven final.

According to Focus Taiwan, the Flash Wolves team, captained by Hsia Yu-hsiang, included talented players such as Wang Tze-hsiu, Chan Che-jui, Tsai Cheng-tse, and Lin Wei-che. Their victory in the Arena of Valor, which is a multiplayer online battle game developed by Garena, earned them a substantial prize of US$200,000. This championship title marks their first APL win since 2020.

Wang Tze-hsiu, also known by his pseudonym NaiLiu, was honored as the Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP) following the swift conclusion of Game 6, which lasted less than 10 minutes. In an interview with CNA, Wang expressed mixed emotions about the win, describing the victory as both thrilling and surreal, especially after a three-year wait since joining the Flash Wolves in 2022.

Reflecting on his journey, Wang admitted to moments of self-doubt and discouragement due to unmet expectations. However, he credited his perseverance and the support from Wanin, the company managing the Flash Wolves, for his ability to continue pursuing his dreams. Wang is now looking forward to future challenges in his esports career.
