Taipei: This year's Thai Festival is scheduled to take place from April 25 to 28 in Taipei and Kaohsiung, offering a blend of food, shopping, and musical performances. Visitors will have the opportunity to win round-trip airline tickets between Taiwan and Thailand, as announced by the Thailand Trade and Economic Office on Monday.
According to Focus Taiwan, the Taipei segment of the festival will occur from April 25 to 27 at the FEDS Xinyi A13 department store. Attendees will have the chance to purchase traditional Thai snacks and products from various Thai brands, including cosmetics and souvenirs. Thai Representative to Taiwan Narong Boonsatheanwong stated that the event will also include musical performances from Chiang Mai, featuring Sbunnga, a dance company, and The Ping Reverie, known for their fusion of jazz, pop, and traditional Thai music.
Furthermore, four Thai actors from the upcoming series "B-Friend" are scheduled to hold a meet-and-greet session at the venue, allowing fans to interact with them. A key feature of the Taipei event will be the raffle draws on the afternoons of April 25 and 26, where attendees can win round-trip tickets between Taiwan and Thailand.
On April 28, the festival will conclude with a performance by Sbunnga and the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music Youth Orchestra. This event, showcasing traditional Thai music and dance, will take place at 7 p.m. in the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts Recital Hall. Boonsatheanwong expressed his hope that the performance will inspire the audience to visit Thailand and explore its culture.
Boonsatheanwong also extended his gratitude to the department store and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai for their support in providing the venues for the festival.
