Taipei:A warm and dry Sunday is anticipated in Taiwan before two waves of seasonal winds bring rain and cooler temperatures to windward areas next week, as announced by the Central Weather Administration (CWA) on Saturday.
According to Focus Taiwan, CWA forecaster Wang Pin-hsiang reported that the seasonal winds are expected to weaken overnight on Saturday and Sunday, leading to drier conditions with only isolated showers in eastern Taiwan.
Wang indicated that the seasonal winds are projected to strengthen again on Monday and Tuesday. This pattern will continue with a weakening on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by another wave expected to arrive on Friday or Saturday. During this period, rain is likely along the northern coast and in eastern parts of Taiwan.
Additionally, while Typhoon In-fa is not predicted to have a direct impact on Taiwan, it may cause significant swells along the northern coast, eastern Taiwan, and the Hengchun Peninsula from Sunday into the following week, Wang noted.
