On October 1, 2024 at 9:24 a.m., the power was disconnected. Later, the electricity user came to pay the electricity bill and found out that there was a bedridden patient living in the house (who had not registered with PEA as a patient who needed electricity to operate medical equipment for treatment). At 11:17 a.m. of the day, PEA quickly restored the power supply.On October 2, 2024 at approximately 3:00 a.m., it was d iscovered that there was a deceased person in the house. PEA met with the deceased's relatives and explained the incident, expressed its condolences, and provided initial financial assistance to the deceased's relatives. The relatives were aware of the procedures and procedures and did not have any concerns about PEA's power outage.PEA has criteria for exempting from power outages (not cutting off electricity) for places or houses with patients who need electricity to operate medical equipment for medical treatment.
