Taipei:The Greater Taipei area and eastern Taiwan are forecasted to experience sporadic showers on Wednesday. The Central Weather Administration (CWA) predicts that rainfall could intensify along the north coast and in Yilan County on Thursday.
According to Focus Taiwan, other regions will mostly see cloudy to sunny skies, though there might be afternoon showers in the mountainous areas of southern Taiwan.
From Friday through Monday, most parts of Taiwan are expected to have cloudy to sunny weather. However, eastern Taiwan and the Hengchun Peninsula in the south may experience scattered showers, as noted by CWA forecaster Wang Pin-hsiang.
In southern Taiwan, temperatures are anticipated to remain steady throughout the week. Daytime highs will range from 30-33 degrees Celsius, with some areas reaching up to 34-35 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will be between 22-25 degrees Celsius.
In northern Taiwan, daytime highs will be between 27-29 degrees on Wednesday, gradually rising from Friday, potentially reaching 30 degrees or higher over the weekend. Radiative cooling might cause nighttime temperatures to fall below 20 degrees Celsius north of central Taiwan on Wednesday and from Friday through Monday. The public is advised to prepare for noticeable temperature differences between day and night. Radiative cooling occurs when the ground loses heat under clear skies with light winds and dry conditions.
