Taipei:Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. announced a record consolidated revenue of NT$1.3 trillion (US$39.47 billion) in October, marking the second consecutive month that its revenue surpassed the NT$1 trillion mark.
According to Focus Taiwan, the Taiwan-based manufacturer, internationally recognized as Foxconn, experienced a 12.66 percent increase in revenue from NT$1.158 trillion in September and a 45.73 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
The company's four major product segments showed varied performance. Smart consumer electronics exhibited the most significant month-on-month growth, spurred by early shipments and increased selling prices. Computing products benefited from the early shipment of new products, while components and other products saw growth due to higher shipments of key components. Despite robust demand for artificial intelligence (AI) applications, cloud and networking products experienced a slight decline from September, attributed to changes in the consignment model, supply constraints, and the initial production ramp-up of new models.
Year-on-year, all four major segments showed strong growth, led by cloud and networking products, followed by components and other products, smart consumer electronics, and computing products. The company's revenue for the first ten months of 2026 reached a record NT$8.98 trillion, reflecting a 40.40 percent increase from the same period last year.
Looking forward, Hon Hai anticipates continued growth in its AI-related business during the fourth quarter, buoyed by the peak season for the information and communications technology (ICT) industry. The company expects its overall performance to align with market expectations but highlights the need to monitor volatility in the global political and economic environment closely.
Chairman Young Liu expressed confidence in Hon Hai's future, predicting sustained double-digit growth and dismissing concerns over an AI bubble, citing clear market demand. He also noted that the global economy is likely to remain K-shaped in 2027, with AI data center development driving growth in stronger sectors.
