SEMI Boasts Largest SEMICON Taiwan to Open in September

Taipei: The annual semiconductor exhibition, SEMICON Taiwan, is set to formally open in Taipei this September, as announced by the organizer, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI). The event is anticipated to be one of the largest of its kind.

According to Focus Taiwan, SEMICON Taiwan 2025 will be held from September 10-12 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. This year's exhibition will feature over 1,200 leading semiconductor and technology companies, with more than 4,100 booths. An estimated attendance of over 100,000 industry professionals is expected, making it one of the most influential semiconductor events worldwide.

SEMICON Taiwan serves as the nation's annual trade exhibition and conference for semiconductor, semiconductor device fabrication, microelectronics manufacturing, packaging, and test technologies. It is organized by SEMI in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). More than 1,200 companies from 56 nations will showcase their innovations across 4,100 booths in the Nangang Exhibition Center's halls 1 and 2.

The event will also host more than 200 tech leaders from around the globe, who will lead 25 conferences during the expo. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the inaugural show in 1996. A highlight of the 2025 show will be the presence of management-level representatives from renowned computer memory and data storage companies: Micron Technology, SK Hynix, and Samsung.

Additionally, Japanese engineer Hiroshi Ishiguro will deliver a talk, drawing attention due to his recognition as the "father of humanoids" in robotics. Beyond the three-day exhibition and seminars, SEMI has revealed that symposiums will be held from September 8-9, preceding the official opening of the event. These two-day symposiums are set to cover a wide range of tech-related topics, including the application of semiconductors in Artificial Intelligence, automobiles, and robotics.
