T-34 Aircraft Incident at Gangshan Base Leaves Pilots Unharmed

Kaohsiung:A T-34 trainer aircraft experienced "minor damage" during a landing at Gangshan Air Force Base on Wednesday morning. Both pilots aboard the aircraft emerged unharmed from the incident, as confirmed by a senior defense official.

According to Focus Taiwan, the aircraft incurred damage to its nose during a training exercise landing. Vice Chief of the General Staff Gen. Huang Chih-wei confirmed these details at the Legislative Yuan when questioned by Democratic Progressive Party Legislator Loh Mei-ling during a legislative meeting.

Huang further stated that the military investigation ruled out mechanical failure as the cause of the incident, attributing it instead to a "technical error." The runway was temporarily closed following the incident but was expected to reopen shortly.
