Taiwan’s Deputy Representative to India Dies During Public Event

New delhi: Taiwan's deputy representative to India, Hsieh Bor-huei, passed away at age 52 on Friday after losing consciousness during a public event. Hsieh had initially felt nauseated while hosting guests earlier that day before experiencing a seizure.

According to Focus Taiwan, Hsieh was hosting an event to congratulate the cast and crew of "Demon Hunters," a movie collaboration between India and Taiwan. After he went into a seizure, hotel staff promptly attended to him and performed CPR.

Hsieh was subsequently taken to the hospital, where efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead. The cause of Hsieh's death remains unclear at this time.

Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a brief statement expressing its condolences and noted that it was assisting Hsieh's family in handling the affairs related to his passing.
