Taiwan’s Ex-Envoy to Geneva Removed Over Workplace Bullying Allegations

Taipei:Greg Lee, formerly the head of Taiwan's representative office in Geneva, has been removed from his position following findings of workplace bullying, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Wednesday.

According to Focus Taiwan, an investigative team discovered that Lee frequently engaged in shouting and yelling during meetings and obstructed some of his subordinates, creating a hostile work environment. This led to his removal and subsequent reassignment to MOFA's Taipei headquarters.

The investigative team concluded that Lee abused his position, exceeding reasonable duties and harming the physical and mental health of staff through threats and insults. Allegations of misusing public resources for personal purposes were also raised, but MOFA has not confirmed whether these are under investigation.
