Taipei: The U.S. dollar experienced a significant drop against the Taiwan dollar on Wednesday, closing at NT$31.488 with a decrease of NT$0.117.

According to Focus Taiwan, the trading session saw a turnover totaling US$1.872 billion. The greenback began the day at its peak value of NT$31.570 and later dipped to a low of NT$31.456 before recovering slightly to its closing value.
