Taipei: The pre-sale of a Premier12 Championship commemorative coin that will be physically distributed in November began Monday and will conclude on July 2, Taiwan's Central Bank has announced.According to Focus Taiwan, the central bank will be releasing 36,000 commemorative coins, sold at NT$1,600 (US$53.89) each, celebrating Taiwan's 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Premier12 championship victory last year. Registration to purchase the coin is available through the Bank of Taiwan's website or at its branches, except for those offering only simple banking services.The central bank also mentioned that if pre-sales exceed the 36,000 coins to be minted, a computer draw on July 3 will determine the 36,000 lucky purchasers. The names of the selected buyers will be released at 6 p.m. on July 3. Those who secure the opportunity to buy the coin must complete their purchase by 3:30 p.m. on July 11, or they will forfeit their rights to the commemorative coin.
