Taipei: The U.S. dollar fell against the Taiwan dollar Friday, shedding NT$0.089 to close at NT$30.615. Turnover totaled US$1.44 billion during the trading session.

According to Focus Taiwan, the greenback opened at the day's high of NT$30.680 and moved to a low of NT$30.537 before the close.
