While working in the civil service, he was particularly interested in Buddhism since he was young. Therefore, he volunteered to be a religious master and master of ceremonies all the time, including organizing summer novice training for educational institutions in Khuan Khanun District and Si Banphot District. When he retired from the civil service, he was ordained on May 27, 1999 at Wat Phikun, Phatthalung Province. He also handed over the business of Talad Tai Nod, Phatthalung Province, which he owned, to his heirs to continue managing the business. After that, he came to study for a master's degree at MSU when he was about 70 years old. He completed his master's degree in 2010 and wanted to continue studying for a doctorate degree. However, at that time, MSU Sri Thammasokarat Campus had not yet been approved to open a doctorate degree program. Until 2019, MSU Sri Thammasokarat Campus was approved to open a doctorate degree program in Sociology according to Buddhist principles. He applied to study as one of the first batches.
